Down in Aggieland...

This past week I traveled up to College Station with my family to watch the Aggies take on the OSU Cowboys in some Big 12 football. We arrived in Conroe at about 3 or 4 on Friday. From there we went to Wings & More. I then went with my brother to CS to go to Midnight Yell. Midnight Yell is probably my favorite Aggie tradition, it is an amazing experience. After Yell Practice we traveled to Bryan to stay at one of his friend's houses. We woke up, watched college gameday, and fed a sick cat some Gatorade. We then went and ate at Fitzwilly's with my parents. After that we walked around CS and looked at Buildings, Statues, and Fountains. We went into the MSC and watched part of the Kansas St. and Kansas game on a large screen. We left there to go to a tailgate and from there we went to G. Rollie to pick up our Maroon Out Shirts. After that we went and watched the band and Players walk down the street. We also went to sponsor booths outside of Kyle and got some pretty cool, free stuff. Then we went to the Aggie Sports Museum. The museum was pretty cool. They had some stuff about some of my favorite players, like Dat and Bucky Richardson. They also had some Really old stuff like a playbook from our 1939 National Championship season. We then went back to the MSC and watched the second half of ou/tu game. After that we went on to Kyle. We got to our seats and sang Spirit of Aggieland, Texas, Our Texas, and The Star Spangled Banner. The game then started and some drunk jerk sat down beside me. He acted very inappropriately, definitely not like an Aggie is expected to act. The Ags were down 17 at halftime and I was feeling pretty bad about the game until the jerk got up and left and the Fightin' Texas Aggie Band formed at the north end of Kyle Field. The band made me smile and we won halftime, of course. The jerk never came back and the Ags made the largest second half comeback in Aggie history. I was very pleased in the outcome of the game.
My brother and I then went back to Conroe, ate breakfast from Whataburger, and then went to sleep. We cam back home early the next day.

When I was back home I found this thread on TexAgs about the guy I was sitting next to...
Thread about the jerk

Since my last blog post I have entered my Freshman year of High School. It pretty great so far. I have made it through a 6 weeks with pretty good grades and yesterday was the first day of the 2nd Six weeks.
Yesterday was pretty hectic. In English I discovered that we would be expected to read Romeo and Juliet, and I'm not too excited about that. I found out in World Geography that I was going to have draw a political and physical map of the United States, which isn't that big of a deal to me. And in spanish my teacher told me that we are going to write a 4 page story. These projects don't sound fun to me and I'm really not looking forward to doing them.
Today was not bad. I had a test in biology and I think i made a pretty solid grade, probaly an A. That was pretty much the only hard part of my school day.

Well, I'm off. It's past my bedtime. I will try to update my blog sometime soon so that Clinton will put me back on his bookmarks. ¡Adios amigos!

yucca plants

I realize i haven't posted in a while and I am going to spare you of all the junk that I usually say about me trying to post more and stuff like that. I am going to get straight into the story that i want to tell you.
I went with the youth of my church out to Zephyr and we did some painting and some landscaping. By landscaping I mean we cut some trees, cleaned out brush, and fun stuff like that. Well while we were cutting some yucca trees (which are some crazy trees that look like little palm trees) I was talking to one of my friends and I really wasn't paying attention to what I was doing so I find myself walking straight into one of these trees. One of the pointy leave parts of the tree went into my head and i started to bleed pretty bad. The only think is that I didn't know I was bleeding. I felt something running down my head, and it was hot outside, so I just figured it was sweat. Well it turns out it was blood. So I went up to my youth leader and told him that I was bleeding. So he got me a ride to the nurses emergency center and as I walk in i hear the nurses say "Wow...look at that...you are bleeding. You shouldn't worry at all its just covering half of your face. I will take care of you...i am certified in CPR." The whole time I'm there I'm trying to figure out how CPR will stop the bleeding of my head. Well the nurse then tells me that she is afraid of blood so another nurse will have to take care of me. And she makes comment about me looking "hard-core" and she says how she needs to take a picture of me because it would make a good myspace picture since i have a steady flow of blood coming from my head. And by this point half my face is just bleeding and I'm trying to figure out if I will ever be taken care of. Well after like 5 minutes they pour some kind of stuff on my head and the bleeding stops and I get to go back to work. I then find out that I was the third person to have to go to the nurses station that day because of those plants making people bleed. Just to show you what a yucca tree is here is a pic. This is what I ran into...

The only difference betweent that yucca and the one that attacked me is that the one that i ran into was bigger and more aggressive.

that weekend was crazy...and fun.

here is another story i read and i like it so i thought i would put it on here...

This is a true story of something that happened just a few years ago at USC.

There was a professor of philosophy there who was a deeply committed atheist.

His primary goal for one required class was to spend the entire semester to prove that God couldn't exist.

His students were always afraid to argue with him because of his impeccable logic.

Sure, some had argued in class at times, but no one had ever really gone against him because of his reputation.

At the end of every semester on the last day, he would say to his class of 300 students, "If there is anyone here who still believes in Jesus, stand up!"

In twenty years, no one had ever stood up. They knew what he was going to do next. He would say, "Because anyone who believes in God is a fool"

If God existed, he could stop this piece of chalk from hitting the ground and breaking. Such a simple task to prove that He is God, and yet He can't do it."

And every year, he would drop the chalk onto the tile floor of the classroom and it would shatter into a hundred pieces.

All of the students would do nothing but stop and stare.

Most of the students thought that God couldn't exist. Certainly, a number of Christians had slipped through, but! for 20 years, they had been too afraid to stand up.

Well, a few years ago there was a freshman who happened to enroll.

He was a Christian, and had heard the stories about his professor.

He was required to take the class for his major, and he was afraid. But for three months that semester, he prayed every morning that he would have the courage to stand up no matter what the professor said, or what the class thought.

Nothing they said could ever shatter his faith...he hoped.

Finally, the day came. ! The professor said, "If there is anyone here who still believes in God, stand up!" The professor and the class of 300 people looked at him, shocked, as he stood up at the back of the classroom.

The professor shouted, "You FOOL!!!

If God existed, he would keep this piece of chalk from breaking when it hit the ground!"

He proceeded to drop the chalk, but as he did, it slipped out of his fingers, off his shirt cuff, onto the pleat of his pants, down his leg, and off his shoe. As it hit the ground, it simply rolled away unbroken. The professor's jaw dropped as he stared at the chalk. He looked up at the young man, and then ran out of the lecture hall.

The young man who had stood, proceeded to walk to the front of the room and shared his faith in Jesus for the next half hour. 300 students stayed and listened as he told of God's love for them and of His power through Jesus.

Ok well thats all for today...

oh and here is a comic for yall

Long Time No See!

I sit here wondering what i can do so that i wont be bored. A few thing cross my mind...lift weights...nah, too tired...sleep...nope, too early...so then i suddenly remember, dont i have something that i post-very rarely i might add- stuff on and tell people whats goin on in my life. hmm...what was that called...oh! oh! a blog, yeah i have a blog that i think i will post on. thatll keep me busy for a few minutes, yeah i think im gonna do that!

so its been a while since i last posted on this and im kind of surprised i dont have any hate mail...i guess the hatemailers finally gave up on leaving me nasty comments and protesting against me. alot of things have happened. on for example was Christmas. Christmas was great...i got some great stuff but more importantly i got to spend some good time with family. Another thing is that my FF team lost...in a blowout actually, and it was kinda surprising since i was on like an 8 game winning streak and i was beating teams by 40 points.

its almost time for me to go back to school already and i wont get another day off until 18th. it also seems that i wont get a holiday for MLK day. once i learned this i wasnt too happy. shouldnt i get this day off?!? i mean Martin Luther King was a pretty important person in history, wasnt he?? and i also learned that i wont get my birthday off! i mean c'mon i was a pretty important person in history wasnt i?!?! okay i agree the "was a pretty important person in history" phrase doesnt work as well on me as it does on MLK. but one day it the phrase work with me...you just watch and remember these words that you are reading right before your eyes at this very moment, alright?

My Panthers also won this week but, unfortuantely, they will still miss the playoffs. so in the playoffs i will be going for me 2nd and 3rd favorite teams...the cowboys and the chargers. i also just noticed that i use commas and the three periods thing"..." alot when i type and im no sure why. it also seems that the word "blog" is not a word in the blogs dictionary that you use to spellcheck your blog. ok it seems i am just rambling to make my blog lenghty so i will just stop. Happy New Years, i hope its a good one for all of yall...
^see i used a comma and "..." in the same sentence...
^see there i go again...
i need to stop rambling goodbye.
